Cashflow 101 Game by Robert Kiyosaki
The ideal team building game for teams that need to understand finances. It is a board game and takes a minimum of 3 hours to play fully. A minimum of 4 participants is required up to many teams and participants. The number of people involved will affect how the game is played.
In the game you are required to keep accurate financial statements at all times, including having them audited by a fellow player. As you then run around the rat race – chasing the salary of a job – you are presented by opportunities, small and big ones. It is up to the player to decide if they want to go for a small or a big opportunity.
The aim of the game is to earn enough passive income – money that is earned without having to trade time for money – to get out of the rat race and onto the fast track. It seldom happens under 1 hour or even at the first round of playing for first-time players. Robert Kiyosaki says it takes probably about 10 times playing it to really understand what is going on in the game.
While playing the game you learn about money and financial statements, along with understanding how your team mates ‘tick’. We all play games in the same way that we work together. We facilitate the game with discoveries and ‘ah – ha’ moments. We have a couple of different ways in which we can play the game depending on the objectives of the team building.
